What Will Happen On My First Visit?

Comprehensive New Patient Examination

Dr. Sierakowski takes pride in his reputation for providing a detailed examination.  We start with a thorough review of you medical and dental history.  Next comes complete periodontal and dental exams.  Then we will take any low-dose digital x-rays needed to diagnose your oral condition and project them on our monitors so that you can see what we see.

Periodontal (Gum) Examination

The jawbones and gums are the foundation for your teeth.  We will perform a state-of-the-art periodontal exam that assesses their condition to determine how much, if any, periodontal care is needed to treat gum disease.

Oral Cancer and TMJ Examination

Dr. Sierakowski will perform a visual inspection of your mouth and oral cavity for any signs of abnormalities, such as oral cancer.  We will also analyze the condition of your teeth and occlusion to see if there is any damage done by your bite or issues with your TMJ (jaw joint).

Smile Evaluation

We want you to be proud of your smile.  We will discuss what you would like to change about your smile, including any broken or crooked teeth, discolorations, a receded gumline, or a gummy smile.

Consultation

Dr. Sierakowski will address each of these issues with you so that you can have a complete picture of the status of your oral health.  We will review your different treatment options and explain them fully.  We want you to make a smart and informed decision about your care.
