Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique

Rejuvenate Your Smile and Oral Health

Nothing can make a smile and face appear older than receding gums. The progression of gum recession can eventually weaken your teeth, causing greater sensitivity, root damage and even tooth loss.

Using the revolutionary Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique™ (PST), Dr. Sierakowski can treat receding gums with a minimally invasive procedure. It also replaces the need for traditional gum grafting surgery that relies on cutting and suturing, which often results in painful recovery.

With the Pinhole® Surgical Technique™, you can repair your gums in just an hour or two, with minimal recovery.

Advanced Training & Experience You Can Trust

Dr. Sierakowski and Dr. Chao, inventor of the Pinhole® Surgical Technique™ Dr. Sierakowski is one of few doctors in the United States offering the breakthrough Pinhole® Surgical Technique™ as a treatment for receding gums. The long-term success of the treatment has been observed to last for years, with uniformly excellent and predictable results.

The Pinhole® Surgical Technique™ was recently made available by its inventor, Dr. John Chao, to a select number of experienced and qualified dentists. As a periodontist, Dr. Sierakowski is fully trained and very knowledgeable in gum grafting procedures, and he offers the Pinhole® Surgical Technique™ to his patients as a revolutionary alternative to more invasive, traditional gum surgery techniques.

How the Pinhole® Surgical Technique™ Works

First, any affected teeth are thoroughly cleaned and prepared by numbing the gum tissue with a local anesthetic. Next, a tiny, pinhole-sized entry point is made in the gum tissue above the affected tooth.

Dr. Sierakowski will then use a specially designed instrument patented by the inventor of the procedure, Dr. John Chao, which frees the connective gum tissue. The instrument gently repositions the gum tissue so that it covers the exposed tooth root, restoring the gums to their proper position.

Next, Dr. Sierakowski will carefully insert tiny collagen strips beneath the repositioned gum tissue. The collagen strips act as structural supports that help to stabilize the newly formed position of the gums.

Once this is done, the procedure is complete! Dr. Sierakowski can treat up to 14 affected teeth in one session. There is little to no post-operative discomfort at all, and once finished, you are ready to smile again with confidence!

Dr. Sierakowski is one of the few doctors certified in the Pinhole Surgical Technique™
